Salvatore Calì Italian artist born in Sicily (Misterbianco, May 16, 1966), currently lives and works in Nova Gorica (Slovenia).
Conceptual and multidisciplinary artist, after technical-scientific studies he approaches the making of art as a self-taught. Active since 1987, he resumed his work in 2010 after a ten-year break, during which he researched, studied, experimented with geomancers, shamans and scholars of the science of the spirit, in particular with Marko Pogačnik , artist (co-founder of the OHO conceptual group of Ljubljana) and Earth therapist.
Photography, video and performance are the main means by which she expresses reflections on themes where mysticism, science, nature, social discourse become gestures, actions and works, which interact with the natural and human ecosphere (the invisible "collapses" in the space of reality). In this sense, art and life meet in a utopian common denominator, the ability to be able to change our reality or at least the perception we have of it.
