Shapeshifter is the term with which in the shamanic cultures of Central and South America those people are indicated, with extraordinary powers, capable of camouflaging themselves completely in the landscape assuming their physical appearance.
In the West, this term indicates those people capable of bringing about significant changes in the society in which they live, a role played, in my opinion, by Art.
The video "Studio per Mutaforma" is part of the Shapeshifter project (the one who changes shape) and consists of a series of self-portraits in which I try, through digital technology, to merge with the landscape, thus comparing myself with the elements that constitute it, rocks, trees, particular places. In an attempt to remind me of the "terrestrial" origins of our body, the center of perception and cultural modification of the territory, this concept is the basis of a new ecological approach to the territory and the planet in which we all live.
